Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-01-11
This Privacy Policy explains how FaceCheap (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, admin dashboard, and API services (the “Service”).
1) Information we collect
- Account information: such as email address and user ID (UID) when you sign in.
- Billing information: subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment method details are handled by Stripe and are not stored directly by FaceCheap.
- API usage data: request timestamps, endpoint type, results (e.g., distances / face counts), and related metadata needed for quotas, auditing, and support.
- Image references you provide: for example image URLs or filenames. We process images to provide results. Avoid sending sensitive data if you do not want it stored in logs.
- Technical data: such as IP address and device/browser data may be processed for security and rate limiting (and may appear in infrastructure logs).
2) How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service (including API responses).
- To enforce quotas, prevent abuse, and maintain security (rate limiting, invalid key detection).
- To manage subscriptions, billing, and customer support.
- To monitor usage and improve reliability and performance.
3) Image processing
The Service processes images to detect faces and compute results. We do not require you to upload images to permanent storage. Images may be fetched from URLs or uploaded as files and processed in memory to produce a response.
We do not store the image files you send. Image data is processed in real time to generate a response and is then discarded from memory after processing.
Note: we may store limited metadata about requests (for example, the URL you provided, a filename, a timestamp, and a result summary) in activity logs to provide the dashboard, usage tracking, and customer support.
4) Sharing information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as Google/Firebase (hosting, authentication, database) and Stripe (payments).
- Legal and compliance recipients if required to comply with law, protect rights, prevent fraud, or address security issues.
5) Data retention
We retain account and usage data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting codemane.adm@gmail.com.
6) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7) Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
